Mrs. Leta Mitchell, age 27, died at her home in Patterson on Saturday, Dec. 1, 1928. She was the daughter of William P. and Sarah Hitch and was born at Patterson on April 16, 1901 and died Dec. 1, 1928 at the home where she had lived since birth. On Mar 1, 1922, she was married to Wayne Mitchell of Roodhouse. They had 1 child, Bobby Gene. Besides her mother she leaves her son, 2 brothers, Edward and Harley of White Hall and 1 half-brother, James of Jacksonville. Her father and 1 brother preceded her in death some years.

"Lord, thou knowest how I lived, all I've done amiss, forgive. All the good, I've tried to do, strengthen, bless and carry through. All I live, in safety keep, while in Thee I fall asleep." She arranged in the main her own obituary. Funeral at the Baptist church in Patterson on Sunday, burial in Martin cemetery near Patterson.
