Indicated as a "pilot" in Sussex Co Land Records (Deed Book N, No. 13, folio 384). Was a Loyalist during the American Revolution and denied a pardon during the Act of June 26, 1778. His land was sold for 689 pounds sterling and it was indicated that he was in Canada in 1786 (Sussex Co., DE Records). This may be the Abraham Wiltbank listed in the 1800 DE Census in Lewes and Rehoboth Hundred, Sussex Co., DE as household 00001-00100 (suggesting an age over 45 years). Abraham married Catherine Kollock, daughter of Jacob Kollock and Margaret Ellis, on 31 Aug 1758. (Catherine Kollock was born about 1735 in Sussex Co., DE.) |
