This line is an uncertain extension of this Samuel Hitch's father Samuel. This Samuel Hitch is listed in the 1810 Barren Co., Kentucky Census as age 26 to 45 (born 1765-1784). At the time that Samuel Hitch is listed with one son and one daughter under age 10 and a wife age 26 to 45. He is also listed with four slaves at that time.

We place this Samuel here as an first cousin of Clement G. Hitch who was known to be in Barren Co., Kentucky by 1811/12.
