The book by John E. Jacob titled "Graveyards and Gravestones of Wicomico" does not list Joseph R. Collins as being buried in the Joseph Collins Family Graveyard. But that's based on not finding an extant headstone. Joseph's first wife, Mary Jane Hitch, and his first son named John B. Collins and his wife, Amanda J. R. Collins, are listed as buried there. This family graveyard sits within the farm owned by Joseph R. Collins until his death after 1881, so it's highly likely that he is buried there. ![]() Joseph married Mary Hitch, daughter of Robert Hitch and Elizabeth (Betsy) Wright, in 1835 in Sussex Co., DE.
