Winfield Hitch died Sunday in Milford Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. He was the son of the late William R and Sarah Hitch of near Laurel. Mr. Hitch made his home with a sister, Mrs. Lue Neal, in Laurel. In addition to his sister, he leaves three brothers, Samuel Hitch of Wilmington, and Rufus and Harley Hitch of Laurel. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2pm in the Windsor and Disharoon Funeral Home here. The Rev Lee Elliott, pastor of Laurel Methodist Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in Mt. Zion Church Cemetery, near Laurel.
