Normalee Ann Hales, 91, of Salisbury, passed on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 21, 1929 in Salisbury, MD, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Jones and Bessie Jones.

She graduated from Wicomico Senior High School. Normalee was very active in her local community for many years. She served for 50 years as a Wicomico County Bus Contractor for the Board of Education. She was a 40 year member of the Fruitland Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She also enjoyed raising chickens on her family farm. She was a longtime member of St. John's United Methodist Church in Fruitland. Normalee is survived by daughter, Judy Clark of Salisbury, MD; son, John Hales of Salisbury, MD; brother Dr. Richard (Dr. Pamela) Jones of Solomons, MD; grandson William (Renee) Clarke of Parsonsburg, MD; granddaughter, Jennifer (Andy) Smelter of Berlin, MD; and great-grandchildren Hannah Clarke; Hope Clarke; Savanah Johnson; and Mason Gillespie.

Normalee was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elton Hales; and sister, Helen Hales. Services will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021 at 10:00 am at Holloway Funeral Home, Salisbury MD 21804. A visitation will be held Friday, July 9, 2021, 9:00 am. Pastor Karen Sadvari will officiate. Following services interment will take place at Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fruitland Volunteer Fire Company 104 E Main Street, Fruitland, MD 21826 and/or St. John's UMC \endash Fruitland 312 E Main Street, Fruitland, MD 21826.

Normalee married Elton Reese Hales, son of Herman Reese Hales and Nettie F. Matthews. (Elton Reese Hales was born on 22 Jun 1927 in Wicomico Co., MD,^{3 4} died in May 1977 in Salisbury, Wicomico Co., MD and was buried in May 1977 in Wicomico Memorial Park, Salisbury, Wicomico Co., MD.)
