Another, from "The Kentucky Post": Thurman M. 'Jack' Hitch , 84, of Augusta, died Wednesday at Extenda Care Center in Augusta. He was a retired maintenance worker with Kent Manufacturing Co., Bellevue, and a Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Mildred McElfresh Hitch; a son, Richard Hitch of Kentucky; stepsons, Ernest Fossett of Denver and James Maddox of Maysville; stepdaughters, Selma Holleran of Foster and Margaret Maddox of Newport; brothers, James Hitch of Highland Heights, Clifton Hitch of Foster and Robert Hitch of Peach Grove; one grandchild, 30 step-grandchildren, 40 step-great-grandchildren and seven step-great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Mount Auburn Cemetery, Butler. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice. Moore and Parker Funeral Home, Augusta, is handling arrangements.
