Ramona Lee BLOODSWORTH

ona Lee Bloodsworth Brown, 93, of Fruitland, passed away on October 27, 2021 at John B. Parsons Home in Salisbury surrounded by her family. Born in Venton, MD on June 21, 1928 to the late Robert Littleton Bloodsworth, Jr. and Emma Elizabeth Parker Bloodsworth Fitzgerald. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Evans Brown who passed away March 15, 1999, her parents and step father Arthur A. Fitzgerald, brother Robert Littleton Bloodsworth III and sister Dortha "Iris" Vogt. She is survived by her daughter Donna Leigh Brown Mears (Barry), son Robert Wayne Brown (Maryanne), granddaughters Andrea Michele Duckworth Wojcik (Phil) and Melissa Leigh Brown Bragg (Dru). Stepgranddaughters Lisa Mears Hoffman (Bruce) and Lesley Mears Bishop (Joel Hahn). She is also survived by a great grandson Jason Scott Wojcik. Her granddaughters were the loves of her life. She was a graduate of Washington High School, Princess Anne in 1946. Ramona worked for the OB-GYN Department at TidalHealth for 50 years as a Medical Secretary and Office Manager. She also worked for Dr. Craig Schaefer and then Dr.'s Gray, Eisemann, and Jennings retiring at the age of 80. After her retirement she was a dedicated volunteer at H.A.L.O. She was quite active member of St. John's United Methodist Church in Fruitland where she was a Past President of the W.S.C.S. She was a Past President and secretary of the Ladies Auxillary of the Fruitland Fire Company. An accomplished seamstress she also enjoyed knitting, quilting, counted cross stitch and making porcelain dolls. The family would like to thank the staff of the John B. Parsons Home and Coastal Hospice for their excellent care. A Funeral Service is scheduled for Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Pastor Karen Sadvari will officiate. There will be a public viewing one hour prior to the service starting at 9am. Internment will be at the St. Andrew's Episcopal Church Cemetery behind Manokin Presbyterian Church in Princess Anne following the service.

Ramona married Donald Evans Brown, son of Moody Dell Brown and Edna Hobbs, on 02 May 1947 in Somerset Co., MD. (Donald Evans Brown was born on 06 Feb 1924 in Wicomico Co., MD, died on 15 Mar 1999 in Wicomico Co., MD and was buried on 18 Mar 1999 in St. Andrews Episcopal Churchyard, Princess Anne, Somerset Co., MD.)
