Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Holloway Funeral Home for Mrs. Betty Mae Whayland, 82, of 110 Tilghman St. Mrs. Whayland died Sunday in Deer's Head Center after a long illness. Her husband, Henry James Whayland, died in 1970. The Rev. Ellis Horton will officiate. Interment will be in Parsons Cemetery. Born at Nashville, Tenn., she was a daughter of the late Henry and Martha Reno Ernest. Surviving are seven children, Mrs. Hilda M. Anderson, Mrs. Lillie F. Bowen, Mrs. Ethel L. Niblett, Levin S., William E. and George H. Whayland, all of Salisbury, and Elmer James Whayland, Fruitland; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and two sisters.
