Naomi Lee Figgs
Mrs. Naomi L Shockley, 83 wife of the late Thomas Walter Shockley, died Thursday in the Salisbury Nursing home after a long illness. Born in the Mt. Olive area of Worcester, she was the daughter of the late John and Sophia Timmons Figgs. Surviving are her daughters Mrs. Katie McGrath, Mrs. Mary Twigg, Mrs. Lousie Pusey, Mrs. Ethel Watson, Mrs. Mildred Pusey, and Frances Mitcehll, three sons, Luther, James and John Shockley. She also leaves 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and a brother and 2 sisters, Columbus Figgs, Mrs. Edith Lewis and Mrs. Elizabeth Twigg. Interment in Mt. Olive Church Cemetery. Full obit in the Daily Times (Salisbury, MD) 3/19/1971. Friday. Naomi married Thomas Walter Shockley, son of Benjamin Shockley and Ann (?). (Thomas Walter Shockley was born on 15 Jul 1887 in Worcester Co., MD, died on 26 May 1965 in Worcester Co., MD and was buried about 29 May 1965 in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Snow Hill, Worcester Co., MD.) |
