*John Price is not proven a son of Alexander Price but proximity of other members of the family make this compelling. But he is not listed with the other grandchildren of Lambrook Thomas in his will proven in 1713 which one would think he would (see below). He may be of some other relation as there were other Price families in the area at the time of John's birth. NEEDS MORE RESEARCH
On Aug 5 1713, Adam Hitch was listed as a witness (with Thomas Humphries Jr., Thomas Hickman, Thomas Vinson) to will of Lambrook Thomas who had listed son-in-law John Cordrey, daughter Mary Cordrey, granddaughter Mary Cordrey, daughter Rebecca Prise (Price), grandson Crispine Prise, grandson Elick Prise, and granddaughters Ann Prise and Grase Prise. (SoW-EB9:47).
The inventory of John Price's estate was taken on Nov 16 1745 by Joshua Caldwell, administrator (Admin Bond was Sep 10 1745). Appraisers William Byrd and Solomon Wright. John Hitch and William Byrd were listed as creditors and next of kin Mary Hitch and John Hitch. The entire estate was listed as worth only £15.1.3. (MdInv-31:339) He is not listed on the 1744 Tax List.
John* married Mary Hitch, daughter of Adam Hitch and Ann (?), about 1708 in Somerset Co., MD. (Mary Hitch was born on 27 Sep 1689 in Somerset Co., MD and died after 1757 in Somerset Co., MD.)
