*Not yet sure she is of this Hitch family. It is very compelling that she names sons Handy S. Smullen and Harry Washington Smullen - named after Handy and Washington Hitch? Her granddaughter (through Harry Washington Smullen), Jean Smullen Tedeschi told me through an electronic mail that her mother spoke of Levin Hitch but did not know if it was her uncle or cousin. The only "problem" with her placement here is that she is not cited in the Chancery Record of Handy Hitch of August 1900 when most all other heirs were. Nevertheless, there is a high probability that Lillian Hitch belongs here.
