Death of Young Lady. Miss Mattie Jackson Hayman, aged eighteen years, daughter of the late Revell Hayman died Monday morning at the home of her mother in Salisbury, of brain fever. Miss Hayman was graduate of Goldey Business College, Wilmington, and was employed by the Diamond State Iron Co., of that city, as stenographer and typewriter. She reached home last Saturday in a very feeble condition. The remains were interred at Alien Tuesday afternoon at four o'clock. (Salisbury Advertiser, 8/27/1898, page 1)
