Joseph Tilghman, planter, wrote his will Sep 23 1763 and it was probated in Somerset Apr 27 1767:
-To Josiah or Isaiah Tilghman --son (eldest), two tracts of land called BEANS HALL and the other AMITY
-To Margaret Hayman, daughter (wife of James Hayman), Negro boy "Titus" already in her possession, household items already in her possession
-To Elizabeth Tilghman, daughter, Negro man "Harry" Negro girl "Rachel"
-To Mary Tilghman, daughter, Negro woman "Isabellow"
-To Sarah Tilghman, daughter, Negro woman "Patience"
-To Joseph Tilghman, son, dwelling plantation where I now live called THOMPSONS ADVENTURE cont. 50 ac, tract of land called JOSEPHS FOLLY cont. 66 ac, still, head, and worm, Negro boy "Quash"
