Jonathan Bailey wrote his will on Aug 1 1737 and it was probated in Sussex Co., DE Sep 13 1737 with the following provisions:
- To daughter Sarah Bailey the use of the house where I now dwell or parcel adjoining called the Garden Land
- To my two sons James and Jonathan Bailey, my real estae, my negroes
- To my daughters Mary Naws, Hannah Jacobs?, Sarah Bailey and Abigail Jacobs? all the remainder of my estate with them and my two sons to pay my 7 grandchildren, the children of my son Elias, each the sum of two? pounds current money to be paid respectively as the arrive at the age of 18.
- James, Jonathan, Mary, Hannah, Sarah and Abigail to be executors.
