He took the oath of allegiance to hereby engage and promise to be true and faithful to the Commonwealth of England as it is now established without King or House of Lords on 30 March 1651 at Northampton Co, VA. He was shown as William Jorden.

He bought items on 26 July 1653 at Northampton Co, VA. I, Thomas Savage of N'hamp Co, cooper, have for and in consideration of 6 barrels of Indian corn already received, sold and delivered unto William Jordan of the same county, shoemaker, one cow marked over and under halved on the right ear and over halved on the left ear, to him his heirs, excs & admins freely to enjoy without any trouble or molestation forever in witness of the truth here of I have here unto set my hand.

He made a will on 14 August 1662 at Northampton Co, VA. Nuncup. My whole estate to be eq. div. by my dau. Elizabeth Jordan and my wife Dorothy Jordan. Both my plantations to my dau. Elizabeth, but the plantation I now live upon to my wife for life. To my sister Dorothy one cow and calf. To my said sister's child two ewe lambs. To George Hope one heifer. Witt: Alexander 'AA' Adison, William 'Wm' Gray. (NOTE: Whitelaw shows the 2 plantations as N117 and A2.) William died before 28 August 1662 at Northampton Co, VA.
