*UNCERTAIN parentage - this researcher has seen other "theories" that this Betsy Hitch is the same one as Betsy Hitch, daughter of Ezekiel of William of Adam. However, no proof has been offered. I place Betsy, wife of John Perdue here due to the fact that both John and George Perdue are mentioned as "nearest kin" when James Hitch's estate was administered in 1784 (by brother Joshua Hitch). (SoAA-EB18:134) It makes sense that John Perdue, as son-in-law may have been listed as one of his nearest kin. MEDIUM PROBABILITY but needs more research. The Perdue family moved to Hancock Co., GA in 1796.
Elizabeth married John W. Perdue. (John W. Perdue was born in 1758 in MD.)
