Felty Hastings

On Sep 1 1832, Mary Hastings and Felty Hastings with wife Maria, sold land to Jacob Morris. It mentions Martin Hastings had died intestate leaving to survive him a widow and three children to whom said land descended according to law. Mary, widow of Martin, and Felty and Maria his wife came to own part of said land amounting to 22 5/8ths acres, part of a tract called "Virginia.". This, they are selling to Jacob Morris for $55. His administrative account was executed on Oct 21 1857 in Worcester Co. MD by Maria A. Hastings. It mentions heirs who get their share of the $631.06 net estate. Michael J. and Kendall W. Hastings had relinquished their claim on May 20 1856. Maria A., widow, received $210.35 1/3. Balance to remaining children: Leah L., Angeline P., Sarah E., Daniel D., Irena E., Martin M. and George W.F. Hastings at $52.38 5/6 each. (WoAA-GBG:048)
