Jacob Elliott, with William Gordy, were witnesses to the will of Joshua Freeny written May 3 1822 and proven in Worcester County, MD on Oct 27 1828: - To son John, my lands in Somerset County up to where the old county road used to run - To son Richard, my land in Worcester Co. - To daughter Elizabeth Freeney, one negro boy Isaac, bed/furniture and cow/calf of her choice - To daughter Hetty Freeney, bed/bedstead and frniture, 2nd choice - To daughter Nancy Vinson, one acre of land where she now lives during her life then to revert to son Richard, she to also have right to the firewood she please from the branch - To Nancy Hastings 1/2 acre land where she now lives as long as she chooses and privilege to firewood then to revert back to son Richard - Rest to wife Molly during her life then equally divided among my children - Sons John and Richard to be executors.
