He was named in the settlement of his father-in-law's estate on May 8 1703 at Accomack Co, VA. I the subscriber having perused the account exhibited by Elias Taylor and having a true satisfaction I have a full share and my just due from the estate said Taylor as Admr of William Taylor dec'd estate and do fully allow of what my wife Winnifritt hath done and acted do for my self, my heirs, Extrs, Admrs &c for ever & absolutely acquit the said Taylor, qualified as aforesaid from all claims, pretensions whatsoever that shall or may arise, in witnessed whereof I have hereunto set my had the day & year above written. Singed: Hen: Scarburgh. Witt: Aron A. Limus & Wm. Taylor. The within receipt of Capt. Henry Scarburgh to Mr. Elias Taylor was recorded by the request of the said Elias Taylor, May 11 1715.

With others, he sold land on Oct 2 1721, the tract "Bennetts Adventure", Somerset Co. (now Wicomico Co.), MD. Bennett Scarburgh sold this tract of 2,500a to George Dashiell. The deed was signed by Bennett Scarborough son of Charles Scarborough, Henry Scarborough and Winifred Scarborough, Mary Leatherbury daughter of Charles, William Black and wife Sarah Black daughter of Charles, Scarborough Drummond widow of Richard Drummond heir of dec'd daughter of Charles, and George Parker son and heir of Ann Scarborough daughter of Charles Scarborough.

He made a will on Aug 31 1735 at Accomack Co., VA. To daughter Comfort. Daughter Ann. To son Henry the land where I now live. To daughter Sarah land on Pocomoke River in Maryland containing 300 acres upon condition that Richard Bennet, Esq., according to his promise give my son William the plantation on Nancemond, and should he not do this before he arrive to the age of 21 years, I give the said 300 acres to my son William. To daughter Henrietta a little Island called Winter Quarter Island lying at the mouth of Pungoteague Creek. Wife (no name) and children residual legatees. Wife and son Henry Extrs. Witt: W.
