Bruce D. Ruark, 71, of Salisbury passed away Friday, August 10, 2012 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Dorothy Ruark and his brother-in-law Robert G. Welsh.
He is survived by his sister Gayle Ruark Welsh, two nephews: Pastor Rob Welsh, his wife Janet and their children Chelsea, Alec, Taylor and Kayla; Randy Welsh and his wife Patti; one niece Amy Poso and her sons, Tyler, his wife Marie, and their children Steven, Leilani and Amaya and Brent Poso; two cousins Keith Oakes, and Lisa and Todd Reese and their family. He leaves behind beloved friends who became extended family, John and Vicki Perdue, Bill and Eva Long, Charlie and Becky Paparella, Mike and Carol Ellis, Greg and Billye Jane Harrison and their children Brittany and Allie, and Rusty Vance.
A graveside service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury. John Perdue will officiate. Family and friends are welcome to attend a gathering in his memory at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church Community Hall following the graveside service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Coastal Hospice, PO Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802.
