This Wheeler line probably descends from John Wheeler who purchased land in Accomack Co. in 1683 from Daniel/Ann Jenifer - tract A121 in Whitelaw - more work needed to figure out HOW.

James Wheeler wrote his will on Feb 3 1752 and it was proven in Northampton Co., VA on Oct 10 1752:
- To son John, 1/2 pint pewter pot
- Wife Elizabeth executrix
Witnesses: John Pigot, Benjamin Fathery (NoVAW-XXVIII-R-20:334)

James married Elizabeth (?) about 1749 in Northampton Co., VA. (Elizabeth (?) was born about 1727 in Northampton Co., VA.)
