John Irving McDaniel
John was the son of Joseph and Elizabeth A Shelton McDaniel and the husband of Mary Ann McDaniel who he married in 1914. John was a Carpenter by trade. John I. McDaniel, 75, of 1601 South Division Street, formerly of Fruitland where he had lived for 17 years, died suddenly yesterday in Peninsula General Hospital of a heart attack. He was a retired carpenter. He was the son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Shelton McDaniel of St. Stephens. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary McDaniel; two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Ford and Miss Laura McDaniel, both of Salisbury; two brothers, Weldon McDaniel, Baltimore, and Alonza McDaniel, Oriole; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home, Princess Anne, with the Rev. Otho G. Brewer, pastor of the Antioch Methodist Church in Princess Anne, officiating. Interment will be in the Wicomico Memorial Park. Friends may call tonight after 7 at the funeral home.
