The State granted him 30 shillings and 100 acres. James Daniel died at High Rock, North Carolina 11 February 1817. His son Woodson and an Alexander Shamwell were administrators for his estate for which a 800 Pound bond was placed. Based on information which we were able to collect from present day residents of the area, he was buried in a private plot on his property, which has since been cultivated over.
James married Rebecca Travers. (Rebecca Travers was born in 1756 and died on 21 Oct 1815 in Davidson Co., NC.)
