Robert Littleton Bloodsworth III
Robert served as a Sergeant, Company E, 180th Infantry, 45th Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II. He resided in Somerset County, Maryland prior to the war. He enlisted in the Army on July 30, 1943 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Sales Clerk and also as Single, with dependents. Robert was "Killed In Action" near Alsace, France during the war and was awarded the Purple Heart. It would actually appear from records that he was a "III" and not a "Jr". |
