On Feb 10 1730, Philip Wingate had the 50a tract HICKORY RIDGE surveyed for himself. On Oct 13 1739, 100a of tract LONG ACRE was sold by William Waples (of Sussex) et ux. Margaret Waples, and Paul Waples et ux. Elizabeth Waples to Philip Wingate (SoLR-MF:114)

On Jul 30 1744, 75a part of tract POPLAR RIDGE was sold by Joseph Melson, planter, et ux. Esther Melson to Philip Wingate, "the portion given to Benjamin Melson by his father Samuel" (WoLR-A:246). On Mar 4 1746, 87a of tract WHITE OAK SWAMP was sold by Robert Houston, planter, to Philip Wingate (WoLR-A:419). On Apr 20 1748, Philip Wingate had the 100a tract LAST OF ALL surveyed for himself.
