Additional information provided by the Patriot Guard Riders is: Jack was born in South Dakota Dec 28 1930. He joined the Coast Guard in January 1951 and was discharged Jan 1954. He received the Korean Service Metal and also served in Hawaii, Guam, Green Cove Springs Florida, among others. He survived a typhoon aboard an old destroyer escort that had been turned over to the Coast Guard. Jack moved to Florida after discharged and owned and operated Ace Pest Control in Clearwater for close to 50 years. He had one of the highest certifications the Florida issues in pest control.
