Research claims Thomas Morris was born c1640 and arrived in the New World in 1666 and started the first Quaker Meeting House in Guilford, VA. It was burned and they moved (due to religious tolerance) to Somerset Co., MD near Ironshire (modern Worcester Co.)

In his will written Sep 20 1686, proved Dec 14 1688, John Cropper, carpenter, left the 100a of tract LINNEATH, and HOGS NORTON, land given to me by John Fassitt, to Thomas Morris (Md-6:033, SoW-EB5:166). This makes Morris at least age 21 in 1686 (born before 1666)

Thomas Morris, planter, Somerset Co., wrote his will on Feb 22 1713/14 and it was probated Dec 3 1714.
Personal goods and chattels divided in three equal parts with 1/3rd to wife Parthenia and 2/3rds equally to five children william, Thomas, Joseph, Edwrad and Pathenia as they each reach age 18.
To eldest sons William and Thomas and their hrs., dwelling land and plantation "Linnath," provided they pay to sons Joseph and Edward 4000 lbs of tobacco at majority.
To John Burbage, of Somerset Co., 2 tracts, viz., "Hoggs Norton," having a plantation thereon, and adjoining woodland 200a "Bawmarriss (sic, BENMARICE?)," provided he pay to Jno. Hampton, or his hrs., 12000 lbs of tobacco.
To wife Parthenia, executrix, 1/3 of personalty, residue to be divided among sons afsd. and dau. Parthenia.
