From Becky Miller, local historian, on find-a-grave: Although Levin passed away in 1862, well up into the second decade of the 20th century, his homeplace was known as the Levin Miller farm, although that was the land he gave to his daughter Nancy Causey, on which she and her husband, Franklin built their house c1880. Through family reunion notices in the Princess Anne newspaper, the Marylander and Herald, it has been determined that the family never marked Levin's grave on his homeplace, although they (by that time greatgrandchildren) voted to do so on 5 October 1915. The committee appointed to do this was Rev. W.F. Atkinson, O.H. Miller, Mrs. Mamie Russell, B.T. Dykes, Levin J. Atkinson and E.H. Bounds. In that year, the Levin Miller homestead was described as about 1 1/2 miles from Perryhawkin Church and the group sang "Blest be the Ties That Bind." On 2 October 1917 the soliciting committee of the Miller/Causey Reunion, Mr. Levin J. Atkinson, Mrs. Mamie Russell and B.T. Dykes, again called for monuments to be placed at the family cemetery for the late Mr. and Mrs. Levin Miller and the late Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Causey. By tracing obituaries of persons buried in the family cemetery on the Causey homeplace (different house) (Levin's homeplace), the obituaries and/or death certificates of the majority of the persons indicate they were interred in the family cemetery on Levin Miller's homeplace. Franklin and Nancy Causey eventually had their graves marked. There are four unmarked graves in the plot. Thus, Levin C. Miller's resting place was rediscovered by a second greatgranddaughter.

It is possible that Levin's three other children and spouses, whose graves cannot be found, are buried in this cemetery as it was laid out for 1/4 acre. The other children are:
Mary Miller m. Josiah Pusey
Sarah Miller m. Henry J. Curtis and James A. Matthews
Nathaniel C. Miller m. Elizabeth J. Brown
