Larry James Causey Jr.

Larry J. Causey Jr., 90, of Salisbury, died on Friday, February 17, 2017 at his home after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Born on February 6, 1927 in Salisbury, MD, he was the son of the late Larry and Kathryn Willis Causey. He served in the US Army during World War II and the Korean War. Following his military service, he joined the family business, Larry J. Causey and Sons, building residential homes in the Salisbury area. After retirement, he raised Certified Black Angus Cattle for over two decades. During this time, he joined the Wye Mills Black Angus Cattle Association. Larry was a loving and supportive husband, father and grandfather. Spending time with his grandchildren was one of the most important parts of his life.

Larry is survived by two sons, Keith Alan Causey and his wife Deborah of Fruitland, Steve James Causey of Salisbury; one grandson, Chief Petty Officer Justin Alan Causey, USCG and his wife Diana; three granddaughters, Dr. Tara Deborah Causey, Callie Rae Causey, Christy Leigh Causey and her fiancé Mike Chubb; one great-granddaughter, Makayla Causey; one great-grandson, Jaiden Causey and one sister, Cora Haight. Larry is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Causey who died in 1995; two brothers, John W. Causey and Edgar W. Causey; two sisters, Norma C. Brown and Kathryn Taylor. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury. Rev. Dr. William Warren will officiate.
