John W. Causey, 71, of Salisbury, died Friday, June 19, 2009 at his home. Jack was born July 12, 1937 in Salisbury, MD, to the late Larry J. Causey Sr. and Kathryn (Willis) Causey.
Jack was the president and CEO of Larry J. Causey and Sons Inc. for 35 years, a family business since 1932. He was the founding member and two time president of the Eastern Shore Builders Association. His memberships include, the Moose Lodge 654, Redmen Lodge #149 and Greenhill Yacht and Country Club. He was a board member of the Bank of Fruitland, Pennisula Bank and Mercantile Bank for 25 years, also a board member of Allied Building Center, Forestwise Building Distributors and Bow Mar Millworks. He enjoyed crabbing and fishing on his boat, "Miz" Charlotte. He loved to travel especially to Ireland and Hawaii, gardening, cooking on the grill and cooking gourmet. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte T. Causey of Salisbury, a daughter, Tracy Causey-Jeffery and her husband, Mark Jeffery of Brooklyn, NY, a brother, Larry J. Causey Jr., a sister, Cora Haight and her husband, Charles, brother-in-law, Hubert Brown and a sister-in-law, Signe Causey all of Salisbury. He was preceded in death by a brother, Edgar W. Causey Sr., sisters, Norma C. Brown, Kathryn Taylor and an infant daughter, Lisa Kay Causey.
