Enlisted Company D, 27th SC Infantry in Feb 1863. Transferred to Company K on July 11, 1864. Captured and taken prisoner at Weldon Railroad on August 24. 1864 and listed on roll of POWs transferred from Point Lookout, MD to Aikens Landing, VA. One record then states he was exchanged on Sep 18 1864 after transfer to City Point, another record states he died in Sep 1864.
