Nobert B. Karau
Norbert B. Karau 88, of Greenfield, passed away July 21, 2010. He was an engineer for Western Electric for over 30 years. He held three U.S. Patents for telephone parts. Norbert was a member of Carmel Christian Church and was a founding member of the Crestview Christian Church. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, Wally Byam Caravan (Airstream) Club, International Caravanning Association, and Family Motor Coach. Norbert was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Marjorie G. Karau. He is survived by his children, Philip A. Karau and his wife Susan of Grand Blanc, MI and Barbara K. Grider; five grandchildren, Jeffrey and Matthew Karau and Julianne Keller, Melissa and Christopher Grider; one great-grandchild, Brandon; and his brothers and sisters, Ralph (Linda) Karau, Deloris (Herbert) Witt, Eunice (Gerald) Allar, Emil (Karlene) Karau and Minnie (Oscar) Betsworth. Nobert married Marjorie L. Gills, daughter of William Homer Gills and Merle M. Hitch. (Marjorie L. Gills was born on 10 Nov 1922 in IL,1 2 died on 29 Oct 2005 in IN and was buried about 01 Nov 2005 in Washington Park East Cemetery, Marion Co., IN.) |
