Otis Frederick Hitch
From "A Hitch Orchard," Daisy Hitch Davies, 1931: "Otis served in the Navy from 1908 - 1912 with duty on the destroyer U.S.S.Decatur of the China fleet and again in 1917 -1921. Was on the Navy Rifle Team. He was a toolmaker and worked for Chevrolet in Indianapolis. Later he started his own machine shop in Indianapolis. They are both buried in cemetery at Wilson's Corner on Route 9 six miles south of Shelbyville, IN." Otis married Lulu Rosalie Trees, daughter of Alonzo D. Trees and Lillie I.
