Harvey F. Carey, 48, who had been employed for 24 years at the Berks Optical Co., died Sunday at his home in the Baysinger Trailer Court after a long illness. Born at Fruitland, he was a son of the late Alexander Grover and Mammie Mae Williams Carey. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bounds Carey; three children, Miss Kharon Carey and Ronald H. and Neal H. Carey, all of Salisbury; a grandson; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Williams, Fruitland, and four brothers, William M. and Howard T. Carey, both of Salisbury, and Michael A. and Norris P. Carey, both of Fruitland. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Holloway Funeral Home. The Rev. Ira Crum, retired Methodist minister, will officiate. Interment will be in Wicomico Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday night from 7:30 to 9.
