John M. "Mickey" Hitch, age 67, of Clinton, Missouri passed away Thursday, October 13, 2011 in Jefferson County, Missouri at his daughter's residence. He was born October 28, 1943, in Shelby County, Indiana, he was the son of John G. and Gertie M. (Smith) Hitch. He married Barbara A. Vance on September 28, 1962, and she survives. Other survivors include his daughters, Chris (husband, Brad) Davis of Jefferson County and Pam Bible of Wichita, Kansas; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Donald Hitch. Mr. Hitch retired from truck driving for Alliance Imaging in 2003. He attended Southwestern High School. Mr. Hitch loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2011 at Miller Cemetery in Shelby County, Indiana, with Rev. Bob Campbell officiating. Services entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, Indiana
