William Raymond Hitch

William "Bill" Raymond Hitch passed away on July 15, 2014 in Auburn, Washington at the age of 79. Bill was born on December 4, 1934 in Cushing, Oklahoma to Otis and LaVerne Hitch. Bill met his wife Diana while roller skating and they married on September 29, 1956 in Portland, Oregon. They moved to the Seattle area briefly in 1956, moving to Renton in 1961, where they lived for the next thirty years. There, in 1981 Bill and Diana opened a business, Puget Sound Electronics. Bill worked at and retired from the Boeing Company, after 30 plus years. Shortly after retirement, Bill and Diana moved to Chehalis, Washington where they resided till their passing. Bill loved being involved in Little League baseball, he was an avid Mariners fan, enjoyed gardening and loved listening to the rain. Bill is survived by his children, Terri (Gary) Williams, Karen (Kurt) Howard, Cheryl (Bill) Anderson, Donald (Debbie) Hitch and Lori (Curt) Harvey, all of Washington; 12 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren, nieces Marcia McCleary and Melody Hatch, both of Oregon and nephew Kris Luoma of California. Preceded in death by: Wife Diana Hitch, parents Otis and LaVerne Hitch, sisters Margaret Burnside and Marylou Luoma. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the Weeks Enumclaw Funeral Home, 1810 Wells St. Enumclaw, Wa.
