Subject: I assume you recognize the name...
I randomly Google myself from time to time to see what is out there with my name on it. I came across your page - I am Sorin Norman Holland IV and I think we have some shared DNA.
If you don't a quick jump through the data is that when in the 6th generation of Adam Hitch you get to Elizabeth Temperance Hitch, she marries Sorin Barbon. These are my great-great-great-grandparents. Their daughter Laura Barbon marries William Thomas Holland and their son is Sorin Norman Holland (listed as Norman Holland on your records because he enlisted in the Army as Norman Sorin Holland to prevent himself from having a "foreign" name), who is my namesake. I have a son and he is Sorin Norman Holland V. My dad and I had been debating the origin of the name "Sorin" recently and I called him to let him know I found your site. I would love to chat with you sometime about that particular branch of your tree and see if you have any other information as to the lives of our shared ancestors. I can also help with any of the Holland information from the William Thomas point on - those are the family members we can go back to. Sadly, I don't have much before Laura and WT (my dad says they all went by "WT").
Thanks for posting all this info! It was a great surprise during my workday.
