John Thomas seems to be the father of the Mary Thoma here as this is the only Thoma family that fits the birthdates and location. The circumstantial evidence continues with sons William and Philip Thoma and Mary Thoma Bosserman naming a son William Philip Bosserman. Additionally, Philip Thomas names a son Eleazer Thoma - possibly after his "brother-in-law" Eleazer Bosserman. Still some uncertainty - do not now think this is father of Mary Magdalene Thoma.
