Mrs. Florence Packard, 96, formerly of Bryan, died late Tuesday evening in the Fountain Manor Nursing Home, Hicksville. She was born in Defiance County on Sept. 24, 1885, the daughter of Christian and Rebecca (Wilson) Krabill. She was a member of the Lick Creek Church of the Brethren. Surviving are two daughters; Mrs. Mabel Hamstead of Delaware and Mrs. Mildred Brown of Hicksville; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday int he Lick Creek Church of the Brethren with Rev. Jim Albright officiating. Burial will be in Farmer Cemetery. (Defiance Crescent-News, Thursday, Jun 17 1982)
