Some records suggest he arrived in the colonies in 1665 and some say 1679.

He had the tract PEMINIE surveyed Oct 7 1681 and DUBLIN surveyed for him Jun 4 1683. This may give a clue from whence he came - Dublin, Ireland.

He wrote his will on May 11 1711 and it was proven Jun 6 1711 in Somerset:
-To son Denum, 100a of land on which he now dwells
-To son William, 100a of land where I now live called KINGS CHANCE and 50a called PIMENTO and 25a of DUBLIN
-To desire that my daughter Eleanor Carrakin live here on the plantation on have the corn ground for her and her children during her widowhood.
-To beloved wife Gean, all my personal estate and to be executrix.
Witnesses: James Srawbridge, Upshur King, Susanna Oliver (SoW-EB9:041)
