John Truitt Sr.
On 16 Mar 1679/80 in Accomack Co, Virginia, John Truit, orphan, petitioned that he be free from Robert Burton, his former guardian. It appeared by the register that he had attained the age specified in his father's will (18 yo). Ordered that Burton deliver to Truit three cows, six heifers, a bull calf, a steer, and a mare; he was also to pay the 878 lbs tobacco that he acknowledged was due to the orphan. John married. |
