Thomas Selby wrote his will on Oct 28 1701 and it was proven in Somerset Co., on Sep 24 1702:
- To wife, peaceably enjoy the house and plantation and all the stock of cattle during her life
- To son Thomas, have the beef he has occasion for to accommodate his house and the privilege of my plantation pasture and he to assist maintaining the fence and has privilege in my neck for wintering of his stock. He also to get my lands but if he dies w/o heirs, grandchildren Selby Claywell and Selby Onions now living in Virginia shall have it.
- Jones Richards to have privilege in my wintering pasture while wife still lives
- Son Thomas to give grandchildren Elizabeth Baker, Selby Claywell, Comfort Claywell and Rebecca Claywell, John Onions, Thomas Onions, Selby Onions each a two-year old heifer
- Son Thomas to have the copper kettle and bed/furniture to grandson Thomas Selby.
- Son Thomas is to be executor
