Catherine died on 21 March 1875 at St. George Parish, Acc Co, VA. Her Acc Co death record shows her as Kittie Doughty, who died on 14 Apr 1875 of consumption at the age of 50 years. She was born in Acc Co and unmarried. A neighbor Edw'd Wise gave the information. Her tombstone shows she died on 21 Mar 1875.

Catherine married Major R. Doughty about 1845 in Accomack Co., VA. (Major R. Doughty was born on 08 Feb 1806 in Accomack Co., VA and died on 11 May 1861 in Accomack Co., VA.)
