Edmond witnessed a will on 23 June 1688 at Northampton Co, VA. It was on this date that Capt. Arthur Robins, Edmond Joynes, Giles Copes & John Henderson witnessed the will of John Cobb, wife Mary.
Edmond made a will on 18 July 1712 at Northampton Co, VA. In his will Edmond Joynes gave to my son Edward 200 A. on the south of the land I now live upon purchased of Isaac Foxcroft, and for want of his heirs to my son Mager. To my son Mager the 150 A. plantation where I now dwell, and for want of his heirs to my son Thomas, the said land lying to the south of the land purchased of Gilbert Henderson. To my son Thomas 100 A. lying on the head of the 250 A. purchased of Gilbert Henderson, and for want of his heirs to my son Edmond. To my son Edmond 100 A. being part of 300 A. purchased of Isaac Foxcroft. To wife (no name) use of still during her widowhood. To each of my daus. 10s. Son Edward extr.
