Francis Boggs I was named in the settlement of his brother's estate on 7 April 1730 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that upon the petition of Francis, Makemy and Mary Boggs, it was ordered that Sacker Parker and John Leatherbury deliver up what they had belonging to the estate of William Boggs (deceased).

Francis was named as administrator of an estate on 6 August 1734 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that Francis Bogs, who swore that John Hook died without making a will, was granted adminsitration on the estate.

On 8 Apr 1736 in Accomack Court Francis Bogs brought action against Hillard Fadry, who was granted time till the next court. On 6 Jan 1736/37 in Accomack Court it was recorded that unless Hilliard Fathery appeared at the next court, Francis Boggs would be granted judgement against him.

He was named in the settlement of his father-in-law's estate on 6 December 1737 at Accomack Co, VA. On 6 Dec 1737 in Accomack Court Francis Bogs (adm. of Joseph Hooke, decd.) brought action of trespass against Hillyard Fadrey (attorney: George Douglas). Bogs was to file his declaration by the first day of the next court, or have his suit dismissed. On 3 Jan 1737/38 Francis Boggs (adm. of Joseph Hook, decd.) vs. Hillyard Fathrey was delayed. On 9 Feb 1737/38 Francis Boggs (adm. of Joseph Hook, decd.) vs. Hillyard Fathrey was continued to the next court. On 7 Mar 1737/38 Francis Boggs (adm. of Joseph Booty, decd.), who brought action against Hillyard Fathrey, failed to appear; he was nonsuited and ordered to pay the defendant five shillings. On 8 June 1738 Francis Boggs (adm. of Joseph Hook, decd.) vs. Hillyard Fadree, Samuel Rogers and Anne (his wife) was dismissed, the parties having agreed. On 1 Aug 1738 Francis Boggs (adm. of Joseph Hook, decd.) submitted an inventory. On 1 Aug 1738 Upon the petition of Francis Boggs (adm. of Joseph Hook, decd.), William Bagg, William Finney, Jr., and John Parker, Jr., (or two of them) were ordered to audit and divide the estate. On 5 Sep 1738 Francis Boggs submitted the audit and division of Joseph Hook's estate. A total of £77.6.10 was divided equally between Robert Stiseker, Sarah Richardson, John Guy and Susannah West's children, William Hook's children, and Francis Boggs' own lott.

Francis witnessed a will on 25 August 1754 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that David Neilson, Francis Boggs, Sacker Parker and Southey White witnessed the will of John Parker Sr., wife Frances.

He was ordered to be tax free on on 30 April 1782 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as Franics Boggs and the court ordered that he be tax free "during the pleasure of court.

He died after 30 April 1782 at Accomack Co, VA. The date of the death of Francis Boggs is not known. He owned no land and left no will. A record of his intestate death has not been found. Therefore his children have to be determined from other sources. The earlist indication of his sons' names appear in 2 deeds of 20 June 1787, in which Ann Holden, the only surviving daughter of Francis Makemie, "for the natural love and affection she bears" them, gave land to John Boggs and Francis Boggs of St. George Parish and to Joseph Boggs of Accomack Parish.
