Elizabeth* Dickerson

*There is some question whether Elizabeth here is daughter of Merrill Dickerson's first wife (Betty Burnett) or his second (Msary Marchant). This compiler believes it's the former because the latter was not married till 12/24/1833 and Elizabeth is list with the family as age 17 in 1850. Assuming that Merrill and Mary had a child right after they wed in very late 1833, a birth would not have occurred tll at least July or August 1834. Elizabeth seems to have been born in 1832 or 33. It is therefore possible that she was born to Betty (Burnett) Dickerson with Bettyu dying as a trauma of child birth.

Elizabeth* married Gillis W. Figgs, son of Jesse Figgs and Mary Swain, on 30 Apr 1851 in Worcester Co., MD. (Gillis W. Figgs was born in 1827 in Sussex Co., DE ¹.)
