*On Aug 2 1803, Stephen is described as nephew to Reuben Cropper. See WoLR-V:581-582; also X:79, X:213, X:497. It is unsure which brother of Reuben Cropper Stephen belongs but we place him as son of Levi Cropper for now. Uncertainty exists here.

On Apr 5 1805, Stephen Cropper sold 128a of land to Stephen White for 336 pounds current money, parts of tracts "Croppers Discovery" and "Reubens Addition." It is land his uncle Reuben sold to him and borders Laban Johnson, Eli Hoskins, and Rouse Fassitt lands. (WoLR-X:79). A few days later, he sold to William Dale and Joshua Prideaux for 3.2.6, 2.5a of land in tracts "Providence" and "Croppers Discovery." It borders land of John Bradford and Noble Cropper (Ibid:213). On Dec 2 1805, Stephen sold a bunch of household items to Elijah Brittingham (Ibid:497)

In the 1810 census, Stephen Cropper is listed in Worcester Co. with household as 21010-11001. He is nearby to Henry Watts and Samuel Porter. Stephen seems to have moved to Baltimore sometime before 1820 as there is a Stephen Cropper there in 1820 and 1830 (11th Ward).
