On Nov 13 1685, Peter Parsons had land tract "Bacon Quarter" surveyed for him for 200a and a patent was granted on Jun 1 1687 (evidently, posthumously) (SoCert:R133 and WoCert:0235). On Mar 9 1686, Peter Parsons purchased 200a of tract "Spittlefields" (part of the 800a tract "Goddards Folly") from Richard Stevens and his wife Abigail for 4500 lbs. of tobacco (SoLR-MA:778).
Peter Parsons wrote his will Nov 5 1686 and it was proven in Somerset Co. on Mar 28 1687 - To first born son Peter, my plantation whereon I now dwell containing 200a of land - To second son John being the youngest, a parcel of land containing 200a in a place cakked the forest bought lately of Thomas Cox (as Cocks) - To wife Mary, my whole estate of moveables for her widowhood then to sons Peter and John when they reach the age of 18 - I wask Philip Ascue (as Askew) and John Booth to mind the concerns of my children Witnesses: John Moore, John Parsons (SoW-EB5:190)
Peter's brother, John Parsons, wrote his will May 18 1709 and it was proven in Somerset Co. on Apr 1 1712 and gave legacies to his nephew John Parsons and sons of his deceased nephew Peter (John and Peter): - To nephew John Parsons, all my lands - To Grace Brereton, daughter of William and Sarah Brereton, deceased, 300 lbs. of tobacco - To Thomas Brereton, those breeding sows to be taken off my plantation and can take pigs with them and my old shooting gun - To John and Peter Parsons, eldest sons to my nephew Peter Parsons,deceased, may have each a mare fold when they reach age 12 - To nephew John Parsons, all the remainder of my estate Witnesses: William Alexander, John Waltham, Benjamin Cottman, Hannah Waltham (SoW-EB9:14)
