Mary Humphreys

This is the only Thomas Hitch we find born early enough (and to have lived) that could be the one mentioned in the court records as "Thomas Hitch (who) did fornicate with Mary Humphries" on Jun 11 1770 and had a bastard child. He was fined 30 shillings. (SoJ-1769/72:222)

Mary married Thomas Hitch, son of Nehemiah Hitch and Sarah Lank. (Thomas Hitch was born about 1748 in Somerset Co., MD and died before 09 Mar 1790 in Somerset Co., MD.)
